Made a reservation for the week because this was going to be the only branch open during the time that I had to pick up a vehicle. When I arrived they told me that I was put on a wait because they had no availability (that’s not their fault). She then proceeds to tell us that they tried calling several times but that didn’t happen. I definitely wouldn’t have made the trip down into town, had I known. This costed me a few hours and juggling to figure out another plan. It was extremely frustrating.

The woman on the phone had a bitter and worthless attitude, being professional is hard when you’re miserable at your job but that’s not my fault. Most of us are tired, over worked, under paid, and exploited daily- but don’t come at me with your aggression and attitude when we have more but in common than the bosses who exploit our labor.

I booked and paid for a rental car online with Hertz on 9/2/21. I selected the “Pay Now” option to ensure that I had it guaranteed and
reserved. I even selected “Manager’s Choice,” so they could give me anything they had. On 9/3/21 the location left me a VM saying
that they had to cancel my reservation and didn’t offer to upgrade me to a different vehicle. I called them back and he said they
didn’t have any vehicles and that their system (website inventory) wasn’t updated or accurate. He also claimed they had been “sold out” for a week, but didn’t care that customers were still able to book and pay online, making their Labor Day plans based on a secured rental car. I called customer service and they tried to book
me in the same “economy” car, but at $90 per day. I explained to her that I was told they didn’t have my vehicle or any vehicles for
that matter, so how would she be able to book it? Apparently, they did have my “economy” car, but were now trying to charge more
for it or perhaps rent it to someone else willing to pay more and/or for more than 1 day. This business practice seems unethical and
perhaps illegal? At no time did customer service offer me the economy vehicle, offering to credit the difference OR escalate the issue
to a manager to call the location directly about the less than honest tactic they used to cancel my reservation. I believe they’re trying
to make more with it being a long holiday weekend, but failed to update the website with holiday rates?

Don’t book here if you actually a vehicle. When booking, we looked at previous reviews stating they were giving vehicles away and that it was difficult to get back your deposit, even if they cancelled on you. We booked a reservation online, but did not put any money down at the time of booking. Two days prior to our reservation date, they called stating that they haven’t had vehicles available for weeks and were “unsure” how we were even able to book. Booking a vehicle was quite easy online. When they called, we asked for an email confirmation of the cancellation which they said they were unable to provide. Bad customer service – would not recommend using this company.

I rented a car for a few days and service was excellent, car was clean and I got in and out efficiently. It was pricey, but that is true of all rental services now. I will definitely use them again.

Had to get a rental recently, and had a great experience overall. I felt I had a complicated situation – needing to drop the rental after hours near another location in order to buy a new car. The teams at both locations were very accommodating and helpful. Shout out to John for his help on the phone today!

Problems:
1). Despite making a reservation ahead of time, coordinating with both my insurance company and the body shop, they didn’t have a rental car ready for me when I dropped off my car at the repair shop.
2). When I made a call the day before to confirm my reservation, they had me taking my car to a different shop. There was a lot of confusion about this until the guy realized he had the wrong reservation, even though I had given him my name and reservation number twice. (I wondered why he kept calling my by a different name.)
3). I had to wait a day to get a rental, and then had to find a way to get to the office, which was a bit difficult since I had dropped off my car at the repair shop the day before.
4). The only vehicle they had for me was a Chevy Silverado pickup truck. I had reserved a compact car, which is pretty much the exact opposite of a Silverado. They said they’d call when they found a car so I could switch out.
5). I hadn’t heard back so I called today. After 13 minutes on hold waiting for the next available representative, the automated system said no one was available and that I should try my call again later.

I’ve rented many a cars and this place is gross inside and smells. Unprofessional staff, not friendly or very attentive. The Cars were not all the way clean or safe to drive. I picked up a car to use for work. Got on the road and then it started raining. There was no tred left on the tires resulting in the
car to hydroplane in highway 183 going 65mph mile. When I went to exchange it now missing more than a day of work.
The people working there acted like it was no big deal. And down graded me because they didn’t have any other vehicles ready to go.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE, especially if you don’t have an American card.
We had a reservation made a week ahead, and paid ***$440**** ahead of time. When it came to pick up the car, they couldn’t accept our Canadian credit card in order to make the final deposit. The swipe option didn’t work, and they had no chip option, or ability to enter the card manually.
We have used this card in the US for months. It’s not a problem with our card.
Budget lacking a literal payment machine meant we weren’t allowed to pick up our car, so we were stranded for the weekend, and we ***didn’t even receive a refund****.
We have to keep calling customer service to get our $440 back and that is already taking hours. We haven’t gotten through yet.
will never be using budget again.
